Banka period of the 1920s
In 1924 the chief Banka Tientcheu Michel (1886-1965) donated land from the parish of Banka-Bafang to the church.
He had his mother, sisters and brothers baptized, examples followed by many of these fellow citizens.
In this photo taken after the baptism of Queen Mother Anne Nguekam thanks to her son and Superior Chief Banka, His Majesty Michel Tientcheu (1886-1965).
